What goes into an appointment

What an appointment holds: client, description, language, delivery type, contact, consumer name, address, and timezone. The description goes to interpreters, and the consumer's name lets them check for a conflict of interest.

What the video says

Every job in IMP starts as an appointment. Here's what goes into one.

  1. An appointment belongs to a client account. If someone at the client asked for it, you can record who, and what kind of appointment it is.
  2. The subject is a label for your lists. The description goes to interpreters: tell them what to prepare, and keep private details out. Those belong in an agency-only note.
  3. Then the service: the language, and how it's delivered. Onsite, scheduled video, scheduled phone, or a third-party platform. A gender preference if it matters, and the person the interpreter should meet.
  4. And the consumer's name, the person receiving the service. That's how an interpreter checks for a conflict of interest before accepting: a relative, a former client, someone they know. You decide, in broadcast display, whether they see it before they're confirmed or only after.
  5. Onsite work needs an address. Pick a saved location or type a new one; the map confirms IMP found it, and you can save it for next time. Interpreters see only the city until they're confirmed.
  6. Then the date and times. Enter the end time or the duration, and IMP fills in the other. Times use your agency's timezone. And it can repeat: daily, weekly, every two weeks, or monthly.
  7. How many interpreters. Need a team? Set the number, and IMP creates one appointment per interpreter, so each is offered and confirmed on its own.
  8. A first note, with its audience: agency only, agency and interpreters, agency and client, or everyone. And a record ID, if you track appointments by a case or patient number.
  9. Any custom fields you've added get their own step. And if the same client already has a job at nearly the same time, IMP asks before creating another.
  10. A new appointment starts as unbroadcasted. Nobody has been offered it yet.

Next, broadcasting it.
