Email: where replies go

IMP sends email for you with no setup. Set your From Name and your Reply-To so replies from interpreters and clients reach a real inbox instead of no-reply. Templates and the send log live on the same page.

What the video says

IMP already sends email for you. There's one thing to set so the replies come back to you.

  1. Every notification IMP sends, to your interpreters and to your clients, goes out from a shared sender under your agency's name. There's nothing to connect and no key to paste. Leave the provider and the key alone unless you want to send through your own email service.
  2. What matters is where replies go. Set your From Name, so every email carries your agency's name. And set your Reply-To to a real inbox: your scheduling address, or whoever handles interpreters and clients.
  3. Without a Reply-To, an interpreter who answers a job email is writing to a no-reply address, and nobody sees it.
  4. Send yourself a test to confirm.
  5. Want email to come from your own domain instead of ours? That's optional: your own sending service, a one-time DNS setup, and your own branding on every message.
  6. Below that are the notification templates, one for every event, from a job broadcast to an invoice sent. Each has a subject and a body with merge tags. Change the wording if you like. The defaults work as they are.
  7. The notification log at the bottom shows every email IMP has sent, so you can check whether something went out.

Next, the automations.
