What the video says

Before your first appointment, tell IMP who you are and when you work.

  1. Your agency profile is your name, logo, address, and contact details. It shows on invoices, in emails, and in your clients' portal.
  2. Upload your logo once and it appears at the top of every page, on the browser tab, on your invoices, and in the client portal.
  3. If you add your tax ID, it prints on your invoices. It's optional.
  4. The urgent queue thresholds decide when your dashboard flags a job as urgent. There are three, all in hours before the start time: a job nobody has broadcast yet, a broadcast nobody has accepted, and an acceptance you haven't confirmed. The defaults are 24, 4, and 12.
  5. Tighten them if your jobs fill fast, loosen them if you book far ahead. Urgent should mean something when it shows up.
  6. The duplicate-booking window is how close together two appointments for the same client can be before IMP asks whether it's a double. Sixty minutes by default.
  7. Then business hours. Set your timezone first. Every new appointment starts in your agency's timezone, and reminders go out on that clock.
  8. Your hours and working days decide what counts as outside business hours. You can still book any time. The only thing that changes is the rate: a job outside these hours picks up your Outside Business Hours special rate from the rate card, if you've set one.
  9. Holidays too. The federal holidays are listed for each year. Untick any you don't observe and add your own closures. A job on any of those dates picks up your Holiday special rate.
  10. Reminders go to confirmed interpreters before each job. Two hours before is the standard. You can add a second one, like the day before.

Change any of this later and it applies right away. Next, your rate card.
